There are frost and icy patches in many areas this morning.
There will be sunshine and wintry showers today, with the greatest risk of snow early this morning, falling mainly as rain and sleet during the day.
The showers will be heaviest in the west and north and will be isolated in the southeast.
Highest temperatures of 4C to 7C degrees with fresh, gusty, west to northwest winds.
Tonight will be cold. Showers will gradually become confined to coastal counties of the west and north.
Frost and some icy patches will develop in many areas.
Towards dawn, cloud will increase in the west and rain will develop along the coast.
Lowest temperatures of -2C to 2C degrees.
