Many places dry, with bright or sunny spells, but there will be cloudier periods also, especially in southern and southwestern counties.
A little patchy drizzle this afternoon on hills and in coastal fringes. Top temperatures 4 to 8 C, best on the south coast, in light to moderate southeast breezes.
Cold tonight, with a mix of clear spells and cloudy periods.
A hard frost will form under clear skies and also some dense patches of fog.
Some rain will push into Atlantic coastal areas overnight and some patchy drizzle will affect southern and some eastern coastal areas for a time also.
