Gone Girl was a publishing phenomenon that became a cinematic blockbuster, when writer Gillian Flynn and director David Fincher turned the text into one of the most gripping thrillers in years.

Since its release, the film has raked in more that €200m at the global box office, earned critical acclaim worldwide, and wowed audiences everywhere.

Except for Roy Keane.

In an interview with Shortlist, an interviewer asked Keano what he saw the last time he took a trip to the flicks.

"Gone Girl. Rubbish. Absolute rubbish. I went with a couple of lads from the Irish team, but if I was on my own, honestly, I would’ve walked out."
