Around eight million contraband cigarettes have been seized in Wexford.
The "Aroma" brand cigarettes are worth more than €4.2 million, with a potential loss to the Exchequer of around €3.3m.
They were seized yesterday following searches of a number of premises in the Enniscorthy area by Revenue officers acting on intelligence.
The cigarettes had arrived into Dublin Port from Vietnam - via Rotterdam - last Friday in a container consigned as 'Garden Furniture'.
It brings the total number of cigarettes seized so far this year to more than 36 million.
Revenue says investigations are continuing, and they are appealing for anyone with information to contact the Revenue confidential line on 1800-295-295.
