Postmortems are due to be carried out today on the bodies of two elderly brothers who had been living together in west Dublin.

The men, named locally as William and Daniel McCarthy were found dead yesterday at a house in the Millrose estate in Bluebell. Both were in their 70s.

One of the men reportedly died some time ago, and the other more recently. 

It is believed they had been sharing a home for several years. 

Gardaí are not treating the deaths as suspicious.
