Luas operator Transdev has described today's talks with non-driver Luas staff as "very positive”.
Further meetings are planned over the next 24-48 hours, involving traffic supervisors, revenue protection officers and revenue protection supervisors at the tram company.
The meeting was to clarify certain issues with regard to a revised pay offer submitted to them last week by management.
Transdev Managing Director Gerry Madden described the encounter as a "positive engagement".
Siptu has called off a two-day strike planned for this weekend. A further six days of strike action are still set to go ahead if the dispute is not resolved.
