Web Summit will host its Fintech conference, MoneyConf at the RDS in Dublin.
Company co-founder, Paddy Cosgrave made the announcement at a press conference in Dublin this morning. Speaking in The Shelbourne Hotel's Gold Room, Cosgrave said the company considered the Convention Centre Dublin, but the maximum capacity is too small.
"It's an absolutely fantastic venue, but if you want to bring more than 4 or 5,000 people together, it's maximum capacity at any one time is about 5,000 people, so it's too small. That then left us with one venue in Dublin. The management of which I am great friends with, even if I've never given that impression before. Our venue for MoneyConf is the RDS."

MoneyConf has been held in Madrid for the last number of years but will make its way to Dublin from the 11th - 13th of June. This will be the first event held in Ireland by Web Summit since the main conference, also named Web Summit, left Ireland in favour of Lisbon last year.
