Minister Finian McGrath says it was inevitable there would be teething problems for the new Government.
The Dublin Bay North deputy was appointed Minister of State with Responsibility for Disability after the coalition was formed.
The Independent Alliance minister admits there has been some communications issues between his group and Fine Gael.
However, he said they are getting on with things and are united in their efforts to implement the Programme for Government.
He said there have been 'slight communication problems' and highlighted that they are in the process of appointing a coordinator between the Independent Alliance and Fine Gael.
"These are all little things that will put the jigsaw together," he explained. "We're in a new type of politics - minority governments are new in this State.
"But I must say I'm really enjoying the job and I'm really getting on with the work," he added.
