Nurses will hold a one-hour protest to highlight overcrowding at the Emergency Department at the University Hospital in Galway.

Members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation and SIPTU will take part in the rally, during their lunchtime from one.

The demonstration is being held to highlight their concerns over the number of patients on trolleys in the Accident and Emergency Department.
