Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 Image Businesswomen of the Year Awards.

Now in its eighth year, the awards event aims to recognise the inspirational Irish women who continue to shine in the Irish business world, regardless of economic climate or the challenges they face.

Melanie Morris, Editor in Chief of Image Publications commented: "The awards strive to showcase and celebrate the many facets of Irish businesswomen.

"From Creative to CEO, Start Up to Management Professional, the judging panel take a great amount of time to ensure the very best of Irish businesswomen are recognised."

Nominees will need to impress the judges who include last year’s overall Business Woman of the Year, Caroline Keeling (CEO of Keeling’s), Lucy Gaffney (Chairperson, Communicorp), Bobby Kerr (Entrepreneur and Presenter of Newstalk’s Down to Business) and Laura George (Group Editorial Director, IMAGE Publications).

Entries are being accepted in the following eight categories while the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year 2014 will be announced on the night:

· Young Businesswoman of the Year

· Start up of the Year

· Social entrepreneur of the Year

· Creative businesswoman of the Year

· Management professional of the Year

· CEO of the Year

· Entrepreneur of the Year

· Digital Businesswoman of the Year

Closing date for entries is Tuesday, 14th October 2014, and the winners of all eight categories will be announced at a gala dinner for 600 Irish leading businesswomen at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel on Monday, 24th November.
