It is the age-old problem - how to dunk biscuits in your tea without being left with a sludgy mouthful at the end of your mug.

UK-based inventor Andrew Tinsley has solved the perennial pet peeve with a handy mesh pouch which is immersed inside a mug of tea.

The drinker dips their biscuits in the mug like normal but the Cookie Catcher collects any unwanted bits that might float off during the dunking process.

Once the drinker has finished dunking they can lift the washable pouch out using an attached string.

But the question remains... is dunking your biscuit in your tea bad manners?
