Three companies controlled by comedian Brendan O’Carroll have just produced accounts for 2014 and combined they record profits of just under €4m.

The best performer was O’Carroll’s company down under, called “Mrs Brown’s Boys Australia Ltd,” which registered profits of just over €3m on the back of a sell-out 30-day live tour last year.

Average television audiences for the show during the year were over one million viewers per week.

Separate figures show that two Irish based companies, BOC Productions and BOC Pix, generated profits of €390,000 and €500,000 respectively.

The cash pile at a fourth firm Mrs Brown’s Boys Ltd fell from €2.9m to €162,403 - but it is owed an additional €1.65m by debtors.

Last year O'Carroll and Co. won the festive TV ratings war as the Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas special drew a bigger audience than competitors including Downton Abbey, Eastenders and Dr Who - pulling an outstanding 15m viewers.

Two new Christmas specials will air this year on BBC1 on Christmas Day at 9:45pm - and on New Year's day at 10:30pm.

Mrs Brown’s Boys returns to Dublin's 3Arena, tonight - the hit show 'How Now Mrs Brown Cow,' runs at the venue until Saturday, December 19th.
