Rain in western areas this morning will be heavy and persistent for a time.
It will steadily push eastwards this morning, becoming more scattered in nature as it spreads across the country.
The scattered outbreaks of rain will continue on and off through to evening and will be heavy at times.
Highest temperatures 12 to 15 degrees with fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds, veering westerly later with the clearing rain.
Showery rain will clear eastwards and will be replaced by drier conditions overnight.
Winds will be moderate to fresh northwesterly and ease towards morning. Lowest temperatures will be 5 or 6 degrees.
