Today will be largely dry with sunny spells, after a chilly and frosty start, with just isolated showers, mainly in the north.
Maximum temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in mostly light north to northwesterly breezes, backing west to southwest this evening.
Tonight will have some clear spells, mainly in the east of the country.
Cloud will thicken in the west, with outbreaks of rain developing in Atlantic coastal counties before dawn, and gradually spreading eastwards.
Frost will develop in places as temperatures fall to between -1 and + 2 degrees.
West to southwesterly winds will back southerly overnight, increasing moderate to fresh along Atlantic coasts.
