Irish star Michael Fassbender has been defending his latest movie.

Steve Jobs, a dramatization of the famous tech inventor who died in 2011, is based around the release of three major Apple products, finds Fassbender in the lead role, under the direction of Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire), based on a script by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The West Wing). He co-stars with Kate Winslett, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels.

After reports that Steve Jobs' widow allegedly begged Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale not to take the role after they were both offered the part, reports now indicate that some of Jobs' relatives are said to be unhappy with his portrayal in Danny Boyle's latest movie.

While the film itself as well as Fassbender could potentially be up for Oscar-attention, he took some time out while at the London premiere of the movie to discuss the controversy.

Steve Jobs arrives in Irish cinemas on November 13th and the latest trailer can be viewed below.
