The Fianna Fáil leader is refusing to be drawn on whether or not the Irish people have forgiven his Party for the economic crash in 2008.

in 2012, Michel Martin apologised at his Party's Árd Fheis for mistakes made by Fianna Fáil when last in Government.

The Irish Independent reported today that the Fianna Fail leader was judged to be the best political performer this week.

However the paper also reported that Government parties are aiming to expose the Fianna Fáil leader's skeletons from his time as a government minister.

Speaking in Sligo, Micheal Martin refused to comment on whether or not the electorate have forgiven Fianna Fáil but said the people now have a different focus:

A poll released this evening puts Fianna Fáil on an unchanged 18%, just short of Sinn Féin on 20%.
