LAPD say all precautions were taken to ensure the public's safety
Flights at LA International Airport are returning to normal after earlier, unconfirmed reports of an active shooter.
A person wearing a 'Mask of Zorro' costume has also been detained by the LAPD.
Videos on social media showed people rushing out of the building as they were being evacuated.
Local police say they searched the airport, adding: "All precautions being taken to ensure safety of public. Remain calm."
The airport say the departures and arrivals levels of Central Terminal Area (CTA) were closed, but have now re-opened.
Passengers are also set to be re-screened.
