No arrests have yet been made following the incident in Ballyfermot
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a shooting in west Dublin last night.
The victim, who is in his 30s, remains in hospital this morning with what are believed to be upper body injures.
He was rushed to St James's Hospital after being shot in the residential area of Cherry Orchard Court in Ballyfermot at around 8.20pm.
The scene is being preserved for a technical examination and inquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made.
