His body has been taken to the city morgue, where a post mortem will be carried out to determine his cause of death.

Gardaí say he has been identified, however his name has not yet been released.

It is understood he was originally from Carlow, but had moved to Dublin.

Alice Leahy is the director of Trust, which works with homeless people.

She says more people will die on the streets this winter.
