Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of a seriously injured man in Bray, County Wicklow overnight.
The man in his late 20’s was found at James Everett Park at approximately 01:45am this morning, Sunday 15th January.
The injured man received medical assistance at the scene before being taken to Saint Vincent's Hospital.
He was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
Gardaí have arrested a man in his mid-20's in connection with the incident and he is being detained at Bray Garda Station.
