Two people have been arrested following an aggravated burglary and home invasion in Dublin.
Gardaí said two people wearing masks smashed through a downstairs window at a house in Terenure at around 2am yesterday morning.
After entering the house, the invaders threatened the male occupant before bringing him to an ATM and forcing him to withdraw a sum of money.
Around eight hours later, they again took him to a bank and forced him to withdraw a “substantial amount of cash.”
The man was assaulted during the incident and received a minor facial injury.
Gardaí investigating the incident arrested a man and a woman following a search of a house in Dublin City Centre yesterday evening.
A substantial amount of cash has also been recovered.
Both suspects are currently detained at Terenure Garda Station.
The investigation is ongoing.
