A man is due to appear in court in connection with a drugs seizure worth approximately €130,000.

Cannabis resin with an estimated value of €60,000 and Cocaine with an approximate value of €70,000 was seized by gardaí in Westmeath on Sunday.

Gardaí from the Special Crime Task Force and Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out the search of a house at Gortumblo, Rochfortbridge.

The 37-year-old man is due to appear before Longford District Court this morning at 10:30am.

The man was detained at Mullingar Garda Station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking act.
