A man has died after a road traffic accident took place near Finglas in Dublin on the early hours of Saturday morning.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Dublin in which an as-yet unidentified pedestrian was struck by a car on the N2 dual carriageway in Finglas at about three o'clock on Saturday morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been removed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown where a post mortem is due to take place.
The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, escaped injury in the crash.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Gardaí.
