A Brazilian man has appeared in court charged with murdering his wife at their home on Dorset Square in Dublin city.

Anne Colomines, who was originally from France, died after being stabbed a number of times on October 24th.

The court heard her 35-year-old husband Renato Gehlen made no reply when he was charged with her murder over the weekend.

He was remanded in custody today and is due to appear in court again later this week.
