A has been charged in connection with the gangland murder of a man in Dublin.

55-year-old David Douglas was fatally injured in a shooting on Bridgefoot Street in Dublin 8 on 1st July 2016.

Mr Douglas suffered six of gunshot wounds in the incident.

Mr Thompson was arrested in connection with the shooting earlier this week and he is now expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Monday morning.
