A man in his 30s is due in court tomorrow over charges connected to a major manhunt in Dublin.
Searches were carried out throughout the west of the city on Monday following “a series of incidents” in Tallaght.
Members of the public were warned not to approach the suspect who was believed to have been armed with a machine gun.
It is understood the nine-hour rampage began after a domestic dispute broke out at a house in Brookview, Tallaght after 5am.
A number of cars were stolen during the day and at least one person was injured.
Gardaí eventually arrested a suspect in Citywest at around 2:30pm on Monday afternoon.
He is due to appear before Tallaght District Court tomorrow morning at 10:30am.
