A man has jumped the fence of the White House, and been attacked by US Secret Service dogs before being arrested.
Agents surrounded the intruder on the north lawn of the complex, which was put on lockdown.
It is reported that the two dogs involved were taken to a vet for injuries sustained during the incident. It is believed the man tried to fight off the dogs before he was subdued by officers.
It comes just a month after a similar security breach raised questions about White House security levels, which led to the resignation of the Secret Service director Julia Pierson.
In September, Omar Gonzalez - a veteran of the Iraq war - jumped over the building's perimeter fence, before overpowering an officer on the door. He then reportedly ran through the main Entrance Hall, past a female security guard and into the 80-foot-long East Room, where he was eventually tackled.
It was reported that Mr Gonzalez, who is said to have been armed with a knife, made it further into the White House than the Secret Service originally disclosed.
The indictment of Mr Gonzalez was delayed earlier this week, after a judge ordered a full mental health competency evaluation.
