A man has been arrested by Gardaí investigating an attack at a repossessed house in Strokestown, County Roscommon.
Eight security men were injured, a dog was killed and six vehicles were burnt out in the brawl at the property in mid-December.
The attack came after the security guards were filmed evicting a family from the house a number of days before.
The footage, which went viral online, showed family members forcibly removed from the house by the security guards.
The incident led to calls for a complete review of how home evictions are carried out – with Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan ordering his officials to examine the regulation and licensing of people enforcing court orders.
This morning, Gardaí confirmed the arrest of a 54-year-old man in connection with the attack.
The man was arrested in County Mayo and is being held at Castlerea Garda Station.
The Garda investigation is ongoing.
