A man has been arrested over the 2014 murder of Paul Gallagher.

His body was found at Ballymacan, Collon in Meath on July 30th that year.

Gardaí investigating the murder arrested a 29-year-old man on Wednesday evening.

He was taken to Navan garda station and is expected to appear before a sitting of Meath District Court in Trim on Thursday morning.

Gardaí say he will be charged in connection with the investigation.
