A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering two women in separate attacks in England.
Police in England received separate reports within minutes of each other, regarding attacks on women on Wednesday evening and said that both victims died as a result of their injuries.
A 34-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of two charges of murder and is currently being detained in police custody. No further information regarding the investigation has been released.
One neighbour in the area where one of the women died, told the Press Association that a woman, who has a son, had lived at that address but that it had been cordoned off for around 12 months.
She said:
"She is disabled, I think - carers come and go. We are all so friendly here, but she was a one-off. We didn't really see her or hear her. It is very quiet around here - we are all nice people on this close, it has come as a bit of a shock."
