A man has been charged in connection with a murder in County Louth last year.

The body of taxi driver Martin Mulligan (53) was discovered at Kilcurry, Dundalk on September 28th 2015.

This morning a 22-year-old man was arrested in Dublin in connection with the investigation.

He was detained at Dundalk Garda Station for questioning, and remains in Garda custody.

He is due to appear before Drogheda District Court this evening.
