A man has been arrested in the Netherlands central broadcasting sector of Hilversum after taking a woman hostage in a car park.
Police spokesperson Helen de Heer said the pair “had a fight in a parking lot outside the building.”
She said the man had threatened the woman with a knife and then forced her inside the building.
The woman was reportedly an employee at NPO 3FM – a Dutch pop/rock music station.
Police spoke with the man through a negotiator and he was arrested shortly after 8am.
The woman has since been treated by paramedics.
The incident began just before 7am.

The Hilversum campus houses one arm of the Dutch national broadcaster, NPO alongside a range of other networks including the main commercial broadcaster, NOS.
Police surrounded the building and staff inside were unharmed.
The incident came just a day after one of 3FM’s most popular presenters announced he was leaving the station.
