A man who is accused of being a recruiting agent for Islamic extremists will have an appeal against his deportation heard later today.

The man, who is in his 50s and has been living in Ireland for the last 15 years, denies he is a recruiter for the so-called Islamic State.

A short stay against his imminent deportation was granted by Mr Justice Michael Peart yesterday evening - until his case can be heard by a three-judge court at 2pm this afternoon.

Earlier this week, the High Court cleared the way for his deportation to the Middle East.
