An earthquake in California has been downgrade to a 6.5 magnitude and a tsunami is not expected to hit the state, the US Geological Survey said.
The quake struck about 102 miles (165 kilometers) off the coast of Ferndale in California about 102 miles (165 kilometers) in the Pacific Ocean west of Ferndale, California.
There is no tsnuami threat following the earthquake
