The National Lottery has issued its own 'weather' outlook – forecasting "waves of excitement" and "gusts of a winning feeling".
The jackpot for Wednesday night is estimated to hit €10m, after it has been rolling over for several weeks.
The forecast, by RTÉ weather presenter Nuala Carey, advises: "The winning feeling has hit in some areas already.
"Last week in the Midlands in Co Laois, there was a win of €250,000, and that then blew across into Sligo with a win there of over €83,000."
"Heading into the evening, the excitement will spread countywide", Carey says.
People can play the Lotto at newsagents and online up until 7.45pm.
