A woman has told the trial of a man accused of raping her during a lock-in at a Limerick city bar that he apologised to her a week later.

Under cross-examination today, she claimed he also showed her photos of his wife and children and insisted he "wasn't that kind of man".

Yesterday, the woman claimed she was raped in a back office of a Limerick city bar in the early hours of November 10th, 2012.

She said she had stayed back for a lock-in and claims her alleged attacker grabbed her by the throat and refused to let her go.

She described the ten days before she received the results of tests taken from a Sexual Assault Treatment Unit as "harrowing".

Under cross-examination, she said she had to go on anti-depressants and got extra security for her home after he allegedly warned her he would get her.

She claims he apologised to her a week later, and said he was very drunk on the night after attending an international rugby match in Dublin.

She said he tried to show her some pictures of his wife and children, but she said she did not want to see them.

The man, who cannot be identified, denies raping her.
