The Irish Navy has over 140 people from a rubber boat in the Mediterranean.
The LÉ Samuel Beckett made the rescue during a search operation conducted 23 nautical miles off the coast of Tripoli.
The vessel has rescued nearly 3000 people since it was deployed to the area on September 23rd.

The operation began at 08:30am with all the migrants transported aboard the MS Aquarius rescue ship by 9:50am.
The migrants have received food, water and medical treatment where necessary.
