George Hook helps to kickstart another business on the Right Hook...and it's all about hybrid bioprinters that could end the need for animal testing!
It is the turn of Jemma Redmond to get her business, 'Ouro-botics', kickstarted on the Right Hook.
Jemma Redmond’s curiosity into a medical condition which left her infertile, prompted her to study nanobioscience at UCD, where she attempted to grow pieces of human fingers for her thesis.
This in turn prompted her to develop a hybrid bioprinter capable of creating sample human tissue suitable for drug testing (which may in turn see an end to animal testing).
George and Gerard Tannam of Island Bridge Brand Development were on hand to give the business a kickstart as only they can.
