Facebook Messenger and KLM Airlines have teamed up to make air travel more convenient for passengers.
Facebook's first airline partnership means customers with the Dutch airline can now get everything from flight confirmations and reminders to flight status updates and even their boarding passes through Facebook's Messenger app.
KLM operates extensively in Ireland, and launched a new Belfast service last year.
The Messenger service is being rolled out from today, with the company's chief David Marcus confirming that feature will be available globally over the coming days and weeks.
The official statement from Messenger read:
"We're proud to announce our first airline partner for Messenger, KLM!
"With this integration, you can receive your KLM flight confirmation message, access your KLM boarding pass, receive check-in reminders, get flight status updates, and have your customer service questions answered, right from Messenger".
