The jurors in a conspiracy to defraud trial have been sent home for another evening without reaching any verdicts.
Four former bankers are accused of taking part in a dishonest scheme to mislead the public about the state of Anglo Irish Bank in 2008.
The accused - former Anglo Irish Bank executives Willie McAteer and John Bow, as well as Denis Casey and Peter Fitzpatrick formerly of Irish Life & Permanent - all deny taking part in a conspiracy to defraud investors and depositors in Anglo between March and September 2008.
The trial, now in its 77th day, heard evidence of €7.2bn moving between the two former banks during that time. The prosecution believes it was done to make Anglo’s corporate deposits look stronger than they actually were.
Yesterday, the jurors were given access to over 500 exhibits opened during the trial, as well as stacks of folders containing various statements and transcripts.
The 12 men and women have agreed to begin their deliberations at 10am and finish at 4.30pm each day. They have been sent home for another evening without reaching any verdicts, and will resume in the morning.
