Mr Corbett died at the age of 39, after an alleged dispute at his home.

Police were dispatched to the house following an emergency call from Tom Martens, who had been visiting the couple.

Both the accused have claimed they were acting in self-defence.

had attempted to win custody of two children from his first marriage, but the courts placed them with his Irish family instead.

The children's biological mother, Mags Fitzpatrick, died following an asthma attack in 2006.
