Property and advisory company DTZ Sherry FitzGerald will trade as "Cushman & Wakefield Ireland" from today as part of a major rebrand.
The move comes after a global merger between DTZ and Cushman & Wakefield last year – Sherry FitzGerald had been DTZ's Irish partner since 1998.
Cushman & Wakefield now holds a 20% stake in the commercial arm of the Irish business. It previously had a long-standing partnership with Lisney.
The company is a top three global real estate services firm, with a workforce of 43,000 spread across more than 60 countries and boasting revenues of over $5 billion.
The Sherry FitzGerald Group has 650 employees in 97 offices, with a presence in every county in Ireland.
The newly-branded Cushman & Wakefield Ireland will have 100 employees working in offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick.
Managing Director Aidan Gavin called it a "very significant watershed" and more than a mere rebrand, as it gives the company access to new services and opportunities driven by the scale of the global Cushman & Wakefield business.
Gavin noted one new service area would be the substantial debt advisory facilities which are now an integral part of property transactions.
