An investigation has been launched following the death of a detective at Ballymun Garda Station in Dublin.

The incident was reported shortly before 9pm yesterday evening.

The Garda Technical Bureau investigated the scene at the station.

Foul play is not suspected.

Gardaí say the case has been referred to the Garda Siochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC).
