Brighton manager Sami Hyypia's resigned after just six months in the job.

The former Liverpool defender leaves the club in the Championship relegation zone after winning just one of their last 18 league games.

Assistant manager Nathan Jones will take charge of the team for the Boxing Day fixture against Reading.

Hyypia previously managed Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
