Hurricane Irma has moved inland near Naples which is expected to take the brunt of the category three storm.
The National Hurricane Centre says it's carrying winds of up to 115 miles per hour.
The conditions have killed at least 27 people in the Caribbean and another three deaths have been confirmed in Florida.
