PSNI search teams have concluded their searches for human remains in Belfast.
Officers conducted extensive searches in scrubland in the north of the city following reports a group of children had discovered a human head in the area on Tuesday night.
The area was sealed off for a time – however police would only confirm that a search was ongoing.
In a tweet this afternoon, the PSNI said the search had concluded, adding that “nothing was found.”
A search in the Ballygomartin area of Belfast, implemented following info from a member of the public, has now concluded. Nothing was found.

The children reportedly ran away after discovering something in the dense woodland area.
