Irish musician Hozier says he is looking forward to a bit of 'quiet time' to work on his next album.

The musician from Co Wicklow has released the song Better Love, which is featured in the new film The Legend Of Tarzan.

Talking to Pat Kenny, Andrew Hozier-Byrne said: "I was in LA around eight weeks ago, and I was just finishing up the last tour commitments. The filmmakers reached out, and because I was in the city at the time I was able to see an early edit of the film.

"It was a four week deadline to deliver it, mixed and mastered," he added.

He explained that producers were looking for a contemporary song for the film, alongside the score by composer Rupert Gregson-Williams.

The song was recorded in the famous Abbey Road studios, an opportunity which Hozier says was 'very exciting'.

"We finished off the track in Abbey Road with an orchestral ensemble. Alex Ryan, who is an old friend of mine and a band member, arranged the strings, so it was great to be back in studio with him."

Hozier's self-titled debut album was released in 2014 following the success of his single Take Me to Church. The album was released to critical and commercial success.

The singer-songwriter says he has been 'living out of a suitcase' for 18 months now, and is looking forward to a break to work on his second album.

He told Pat the new music is "getting there... I haven't really had the space and time to really let them find their way to being full songs yet. So I'm excited to settle down and make something of them."
