Clontarf was brought back in time this weekend - exactly 1,000 years, to be precise - thanks to the Battle of Clontarf Festival running in the town. With upwards 40,000 visitors on Saturday alone, it seems to have been a big success for the organisers.
With plenty of old-timey stalls and even a whole longboat set up, there was lots for visitors to see. But no doubt the reenactments of Brian Boru and his army's famous battle against the vikings was the biggest draw of the weekend.
Didn't make it out for the big fake fight? Well luckily plenty of images and videos of the event - and some of the unusual sights surrounding it - have been shared online.
