One Irish bank is offering money back when you spend with Lidl, Topaz, Boots, H&M and more...
Visa has teamed up with AIB to launch its 'Everyday Rewards' initiative which will give customers cash back when they pay by card when purchasing from some of Ireland's leading retailers.
The brands currently taking part include Lidl, Topaz, Elverys Sports, Boots, H&M, Easons, Butlers Chocolate Café, Parking Tag, Apache Pizza and Enterprise Rent a Car.
Once customers have registered their AIB Visa debit or credit cards on the 'AIB Everyday Rewards portal' they are eligible to receive cashback and Visa uses your transactional data to serve you relevant cashback offers.
The money will automatically be transferred into their Visa account, typically within five working days.
For example, Lidl will offer €10 back in cash for every €35 spent in its stores using an AIB visa debit or credit card, over the next two weeks.
Kurt Rosen, Board of Directors, Director of Administration, Lidl Ireland commented: “Lidl are delighted to participate in the 'AIB Everyday Rewards' programme with AIB and to be part of rewarding customers who are doing their full shop in Lidl. We believe in offering customers more range and more value and with this simple cashback reward we believe it will encourage more and more people to use their Visa card in any of our 150 stores nationwide.”
Philip Konopik, Country Manager, Ireland, Visa said: "With Visa cards accounting for more than €1 in every €3 of Irish consumer spending, our data and technology mean we are uniquely placed to give retailers and banks major benefits by delivering value added rewards to their customers based upon what they actually spend."
