A 15-year-old boy riding a hoverboard has been killed after colliding with a bus in London.
Police there are appealing for witnesses to the accident which happened in Alperton, Brent, on Thursday shortly before 6.30pm.
Officers found the boy seriously injured at the scene on Glacier Way and he was later pronounced dead by paramedics.
Next of kin have been informed, but police have yet to formally identify the victim. A post-mortem examination is to be carried out.
Brent councillor James Denselow tweeted: "Sad to hear about the death of a 15-year-old boy in Alperton last night who collided with a bus while riding a hoverboard".
The self-balancing scooters have seen their popularity soar but they are controversial.
More than 1,000 hoverboards were seized at Dublin Port in November due to safety concerns.
